“What do you want to be when you grow up? Well, if you’re not sure you want to do just one thing for the rest of your life, you’re not alone. In this illuminating talk, writer and artist Emilie Wapnick describes the kind of people she calls “multipotentialites” — who have a range of interests and jobs over one lifetime. Are you one?”
My sister, Lilly, first showed me this TED Talk by Emilie Wapnick over Christmas 2015 when we were in Amsterdam.
We were discussing our skills, and how we both feel lost as to what we are doing with our lives, job-wise and happiness included.
Lilly is 25 years old and is beginning her MA in Architecture in September, whereas I am 35 years old and work full time already… so we are both in completely different stages of our lives. And yet, we both related to this talk about “multipotentialites”.
Please take a moment – you never know, this could also be you!
